Property Inventories was founded over 15 years ago and grew quickly with the introduction of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme legislation.  Since day one, we have always aimed to provide the best report in the market at an affordable price.

A lot has changed since then. When we started, all of our clerks used to carry Dictaphones and cameras and we had a team of typists in our office. Nowadays, we use bespoke tablet software, which we initially developed 5 years ago. The vast majority of our reports are now completed by the tablet - meaning that the report is largely complete as the clerk leaves the property. Our in-house admin staff then checks and proof-reads the report before uploading and sending it on to the client.

Along the way, we have completed over 39,000 reports... Investing in modern technology and building on our years of experience enables us to meet the market demand whilst retaining clients who have been with us since the very beginning.

 

PI-Tab

PI-Tab is our bespoke tablet-based inventory software application.  We spent a long time looking for a system that we felt was robust enough to easily produce a comprehensive report which was at the same level as the reports then produced by dictation.  PI-Tab combines the detail, for which we are renowned, with a report format which has been specifically designed to present important information in as clear and concise a style as possible.

We are members of the two leading industry accreditation schemes, ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of service and that we stay up to date with the latest legislation.

The Association of Independent Inventory Clerks (AIIC) – the AIIC has been promoting professionalism and accuracy in the inventory industry since 1996.

ARLA Inventories – formerly known as APIP, ARLA Inventories has been part of the Propertymark professional and regulatory body for letting agents since 2017.

We hold professional indemnity, public liability and employers’ liability insurance with Hiscox.  Copies are available on request.
